Nikah invitation card
The main card for the nikah ceremony. It usually opens with Bismillah and a Quran verse, names the bride and groom with their parents, and gives the date, time and venue.

The walima is hosted by the groom's family after the nikah. The card names the couple and invites guests to the dinner or lunch that announces the marriage.

What to write on a nikah card
- Bismillah at the top, and a Quran verse if you wish
- The names of the bride and groom
- The names of both sets of parents
- The day, date and time, or the prayer after which the nikah begins
- The venue with a landmark, and a phone number for replies
- A short dua for the couple
Printed or digital?
