What we collect
When you create a profile we collect the details you enter: name, date of birth, gender, religious practice, education, work, location, family details, partner preferences, wali details, phone numbers and photos. We also store your email address, an encrypted password, your interests, shortlists and messages, and basic technical data such as IP address for security.
Who can see what
- Guests see a limited summary of approved profiles: first name and initial, age, location, profession and sect. Guests never see photos.
- Logged-in members see full approved profiles of the opposite gender. Photos follow the privacy setting you choose.
- Phone numbers and wali details are shown only to members with whom interest has been accepted on both sides.
- Your email address is never shown to other members.
- Our moderation team can see all profile information in order to review and protect the service.
How we use your information
To run the matrimony service, suggest matches, moderate profiles, prevent fraud, respond to your messages and send essential account emails such as password resets and approval notices. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, change photo privacy, block members, and delete your account at any time from Account settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, photos, interests and messages.
Security
Passwords are stored using one-way hashing. Photos are served only through access checks, not as public files. No system is perfectly secure, so please follow our safety guidelines.
